John Marzka

John Marzka - College Football Coach in New York

John Marzka is the head football coach for the United States Military Academy Preparatory School, a position he has held since 2023. A seasoned tertiary football professional, he has predominantly coached college football teams for over thirty years.

Before joining the United States Military Academy Preparatory School, Marzka served as the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Milford Academy, a private post-graduate preparatory school in New Berlin, New York. At Milford Academy, he notably assisted in leading a post-graduate program to an 8-1 record against a college joint venture schedule. He also oversaw the growth of 10 offensive players into Division I or II scholarship student-athletes.

Prior to his time at Milford Academy, Marzka spent fifteen years at a college in Pennsylvania, where he served as the head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterback coach. He developed a recruiting model that yielded post-season championship selections in 10 of 15 years, including seven championship seasons. His recruiting efforts brought in between 25 and 30 percent of the entire male matriculated freshman class annually.

As a student, Marzka played college football at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He served as co-captain of the 1990 NCAA Division III National Champions and received the Clair Jackson Outstanding Lineman Award in 1990. Marzka is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and enjoys hiking and backpacking in his spare time.
